Fintech giant Ripple is hiring a new director of product management to bring its loan platform to fruition. This comes as Ripple recently posted a similar job offering to further development on the RippleNet Home platform.

According to Ripple, the loans platform will offer capital to businesses utilizing the RippleNet platform. The director will be responsible for bringing the product from “concept to launch”, indicating that the loan platform is still in development.
However, Ripple does not mention if it’s native cryptocurrency XRP, will be part of this new service.
RippleNet is Ripple’s flagship offering, providing on-demand-liquidity (ODL) and allowing institutions to facilitate instant and cost-effective cross-border payments. The platform currently has over 300 customers in over 40 countries worldwide.
In addition to offering instant payment remittance services, Ripple aims to bolster RippleNet’s value proposition with RippleNet Home and its upcoming loans platform. RippleNet Home will allow institutions to become smarter using insights gathered via their RippleNet usage. The service will also institutions to partner with other institutions to expand their network and presence.
By developing RippleNet as a platform and not just a payment service, Ripple is driving RippleNet adoption. The platform’s usage has already been increasing rapidly in 2020 Q1.
